Ok I know, easter is some good time away. But I’d argue that an easter egg hunt in the tech world isn’t bound to one just occasion. So, in this post we’re going on a hunt for some of Apple’s hidden easter eggs in your iPhone.
The book emoji probably isn’t one of the most popular emojis. But did you know that the little scribbles on the pages are actually a legit text? This easter egg is actually a famous quote from Rob Siltanen that was used in Apple’s Think Different campaign.
The full text reads: “Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
Ever used the voice memo app? The icon is actually the image when you record the word “Apple” on the app. This is definitely one of the easter eggs you have to try yourself to believe!
This may come as a surprise to some, but the clock icon isn’t a regular icon. It’s actually a working clock that points out hours and minutes. I actually had to check this out myself and was pretty surprised that I’ve never noticed that the cursors actually move.

When you can only remember the lyrics of a song, Shazam can have a hard time picking up what you’re trying to sing unless you have a pitch perfect voice. Luckily, Apple Music has the answer. This easter egg allows you to use the search bar in the app to look for songs using only the lyrics.
